DELIVERY INFORMATION

We use Royal Mail to deliver the majority of your orders. Larger items may be sent by courier. 

We have fixed prices for postage regardless of how much you buy (UK only).

2nd Class £1.50

1st Class £2.50

Orders over £45 qualify for free postage (UK 2nd class, automatically removed at checkout). There is a £2 surcharge for 1st class postage if the order is over £45.

We no longer send outside of the UK

We reserve the right to send parcels using a 'signed for' service. This is so we can make a claim with Royal Mail if the parcel goes missing.

We also reserve the right to send your order in multiple parcels to meet Royal Mail requirements.

Royal Mail do not allow us to give them delivery instructions such as 'Leave behind the gate' etc. However, as we are using Royal Mail, you may be able to make those requests directly with your postperson.  

Royal Mail target delivery timeframes are as follows (not including day of dispatch)

2nd class - 2-3 working days

1st class - 1-2 working days

Royal Mail do not however guarantee these time frames and delivery can take up to 15 working days (fortunately very rare). 

 

ORDER PROCESS

We dispatch orders most days during the week.  Ocassionally it may be two days before dispatch 

 

SIZES

Our quilting fabric is generally sold by the quarter metre. There are exceptions, so please check the specific details for each product.

1 unit is cut as a fat quarter, unless you specify at checkout that you would prefer a long quarter (comments section).

Our dressmaking fabric is generally sold by the half metre. There are exceptions, so please check the specific details for each product.

 

FAT QUARTER?

Generally our quilting fabric is 110-112cm wide. A long quarter would be 25cm of fabric x the width of the fabric. A fat quarter is the same area of fabric but fat instead of thin.

Therefore, we cut 50cm of fabric instead of 25cm and further cut that half metre in half across the width. The finished piece would then be 50cm x 55cm.

Long Quarter = 25cm x 110cm

Fat Quarter = 50cm x 55cm
